My current printers and papers:
Epson Stylus Pro 3800 Printer- I have had this printer for three years ( it is now 2112). This is a great printer which prints up to 17″x22″ paper. Its one handicap is that it will not take rolled papers. It has large 80ml Ultrachrome K3 ink cartridges. The printer comes with a set of ink cartridges ( a $500.00 value) so the printer itself is a bargain. In my three years of steady use, I have not had one mechanical problem with this printer. For me, it has been sturdy and rugged. And with the right papers and printer profiles the images are stunning.
Red River Ultra Pro Satin Papers– I started printing with Epson’s Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster, but after ordering a sample paper packet from Red River and printing a image on Epson and Red River, I was sold on the richness of Red River. Granted you might not be able to tell the difference between papers if not viewed side by side. However, when you do view them side by side the Red River Ultra Pro Satin pops off the paper with more contrast and detail. I love this paper.
